Welcome

I’m Dyana Williams and Philly matters to me. As president of the International Association of African-American music, I’m thrilled to support the effort’s of Kenny Gamble and universal companies to establish the National Center for Rhythm and Blues here in Philadelphia. Our city has a proud history as an influential music mecca. We were the home of Dick Clark’s American Bandstand, Cameo Parkway, Chubby Checker, and, of course, Gamble and Huff’s sound of Philadelphia. We lost our bid for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, but with your support and that of the private and public sectors, together we can make this impressive center a reality…create jobs, attract tourism and generate local revenue, plus further establish Philly as an International Music capital. Please join IAAAMF, the Rhythm and Blues Foundation and other fans of R & B as we work with universal companies to make Philadelphia the home of Rhythm and Blues. For more information email us at iaaam1@aol.com.

Efforts are underway to solicit private and public support for the creation of this facility that will celebrate one of America's greatest contributions to global culture.
